India’s majestic Taj Mahal, the eternal symbol of love and an architectural wonder, has finally found its legitimate place in the seven wonders of the world…. Eyedea Lab Celebrates the success and salutes the Taj!

The following 7 candidates have been elected to represent global heritage throughout history:

  • Chichen Itza, Mexico
  • Christ Redeemer, Brazil
  • The Great Wall, China
  • Machu Picchu, Peru
  • Petra, Jordan
  • The Roman Colloseum, Italy
  • The Taj Mahal, India

(All candidates are listed alphabetically and not a reflection of the number of votes they received. The results include worldwide online, SMS and telephone voting.)

The results were announced in Lisbon at a star-studded night hosted by Oscar winner Hilary Swank, Sir Ben Kingsley, and India’s very own Bipasha Basu on July 7, 2007, or 07.07.07, to coincide with the number seven in the Seven Wonders of the World.
