Instructions For Windows Users:
Quicktime is useful for playing embedded midi file types from within the browser in windows.
Clicking the “Install missing plugins” button in firefox brings up Apple QuickTime, which you mostly have installed in windows. But it still does not work.

Many web sites that you may visit will have embedded media that requires the use of a plug-in for playing these embedded “midi” background music files.
When somebody opens a web page or may be an eCards site which is supposed to have a background music, we get the banner in Firefox “Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page”, and there is a button “Install missing plugins”
